CWMBRAN UNDER 13'S travelled to Hereford on the 29th November for a rain drenched game. During the first half, both sides held their opponants to a 0-0 draw with the two sides finding it hard to hold on to the ball because of the wet conditions.
After the start of the second half Cwmbran obtained the ball from a scrum which was passed along the back line to inside centre, Scott Lewis who out paced the Hereford backs from his own half to make a try which he converted making the score 7-0 to Cwmbran.
Hereford fought back, but Cwmbran team had a lovely blocking game and turned the ball over with James Scarfi being chased to the try line and scoring with Scott Lewis achieving the conversion. 14-0 to Cwmbran
With not long left another impresive back's move resulted in James Scarfi going over for his second try. Kicker scott Lewis finished off with the conversion. 21-0 to Cwmbran.
Cwmbran played extremely will in the scrum as 'English Rules' where being played and they dominated the scrum.
Well done to both teams for giving an entertaining game in awful conditions.
