On a heavy pitch at Cwmbran, the home side gained a hard fought victory. Playing uphill first half, the sides were evenly matched until a breakaway by Jordan Peake led to the first try of the game this was unconverted. Both sides continued to work hard in the heavy conditions and some late pressure by the visitors led to them equalizing the score. The second half started with Cwmbran exerting pressure which led to further tries being scored by Carreg Allen, Gavin Foster and Dom Hodgson who also converted one try. All players worked tirelessly in the conditions none more so than the Pontyclun No 8. The full time score was 22-5 to Cwmbran.
